Cakes by Imelda Filip is owned and operated by Imelda and her husband Leo. They started the business 2 years ago after leo's mom lost her battle with Alzheimer's. The business is dedicated to her. Charlotte Filip was a local teacher of science and home economics.

 

Before starting her own business Imelda worked for Price chopper in Edwardsville for 13 years as a cake decorator then assistant bakery manager. After leaving price chopper she went on to do two gallery shows as a avid photographer.

Leo does most of the business end of things which frees Imelda to be her creative best!
